Why is Everyone Wearing Pajamas?
Posted On Thursday, December 03, 2015
It's that time of year again! The town is teeming with families strolling the sidewalks in their PJs. While it may be an unexpected sight, it is just that time of year again in Bryson City. Time for the Polar Express! Yes, it's time to put on your favorite pajamas and hop aboard! Sing along with the elves and dancing chefs, enjoy delicious hot chocolate and cookies as you listen to the classic story and perhaps even read along with your own book as the train makes its way to the North Pole. There will be a brief stop while Santa boards the train, then you will make your way back to the depot. Each child will have a brief visit with Santa on the return trip and will receive a special gift. The train makes several trips per day through January 3rd 2016. We recommend taking one of the evening trips because the holiday lights are quite beautiful at the North Pole. Plus, the kids are already in their pajamas and are likely to fall asleep in the car on the way back to your Watershed Cabin - so bedtime should be a snap! The trip takes about 1 1/4 hours total. Plan to arrive a bit early so the little ones can write a letter to Santa and have a few minutes to play around on the green engine on display next to the depot.
